Read the scope
A quality-management certificate concerns the system and scope stated in that certificate. It should not be presented as universal product approval or proof of suitability for an unrelated business line.
Check the relationship
Confirm that the named legal entity and location are relevant to the project under review. A collage of certificates can be useful as an initial reference but does not resolve this relationship.
Keep the evidence current
Record the certificate number, issuer, dates and verification route where applicable. If a detail cannot be established, label the claim as unconfirmed rather than presenting it as current.
